
HarveyHughes Limited is delighted to announce that Muck and Soil Northwest 2012 will take place at Reaseheath College, Nantwich on March 20th 2012. Last year the event welcomed over 1,000 visitors with 40 trade exhibitors and demonstrators and 2012 is set to be bigger and better than ever, with the addition and support of Growhow UK Ltd, Reaseheath Enterprise Delivery Hub and Livestock Northwest through the Rural Development Programme for England (Europe Investing in Rural Areas).
New for 2012 is the theme of soil improvement which will see aerators, sub-soilers, and grassland equipment added to the already extensive array of muck and slurry handling machinery on demonstration. The 2012 event will cover more than 20 acres.
This year the event is eligible for BASIS points for all those who are attending.
Outdoor exhibitors will benefit from stands of up to 400 square metres, while demonstration areas have been enlarged to allow machines to work fresh ground throughout the day accompanied with discussions on best practice. Indoor stands of 9 square metres will be placed in a marquee near to the show entrance to guarantee footfall.
Also new for 2012 are the free one to one NVZ clinics advising on slurry storage, storage calculations, nitrate loading calculation, nmax limits, nitrogen planning, field records. Farmers are encouraged to bring along their records to see if they would pass an inspection.
This is a free event for all farmers, growers and contractors, which will feature:-
- Live machinery demonstrations including manure spreaders, slurry incorporation, injectors, umbilical systems, trailing shoe applications to growing wheat
- Slurry separators, pumps, presses and slurry storage including temporary and mobile storage solutions
- Alternative slurry and manure management systems including reedbeds and bio digesters
- Clinics on storage requirements, closed periods, application rates, changing legislation and practical solutions
- Free soil and slurry nutrient analysis – bring along your own samples!
